2026! It's going to be a GREAT year!!!

This deserves a blog post!

I sold the very last copy of my Teahouse Favourites Recipe Book this morning; I honestly cannot believe it!  I feel incredibly grateful for all your support. I had no idea I would ever need to get that many printed, let alone sell 600 of them!  I have ordered more copies that are due to arrive by the end of January.  This will most likely be my last print run, so if you have missed out on a copy, pre-order now to secure your copy.

I am loving the rainy start to the year. After what feels like a very long time, our creek is flowing and the tanks are full.

This beautiful weather, when I’m not at work, has lent itself to slow, relaxing days in my studio. I’ve recently started playing with watercolours, mixed media and collage in my art journal, and I’m loving this new direction in my craft — especially learning something new, that I have wanted to do for a very long time.

To be honest, it feels incredibly refreshing to make without thinking. For so long, everything I created was about developing new workshop ideas. Now, it’s just for me. I don’t care how it turns out — and it’s taken me a while to truly grasp that concept.

Jai and I have also been working on a little project. I thought it might be a bit challenging (especially after the time we attempted to build flat-pack shelves together for the Craftroom Cleanout Shop… that didn’t go so well 😂), but so far, so good!

We’re building a grow tunnel so we can grow all our own veggies and hopefully host little pop-up markets when we have an abundance of produce. We still need to put the cover on, but building the frame was actually really fun — and it felt good to be outside, doing something together.

This is the year of learning, relaxing, work/life balance and family!

I hope your year is looking as good as mine ❤️
